Good and value for money hotel near Tanimachi 4-chome station and Osaka Castle!

The hotel is near Tanimachi 4-chome station with access to Chuo and Tanimachi lines. It's also walking distance to Osaka Castle. "Konbinis" are everywhere so one will never go hungry when checked in at Hotel Sun White.

The hotel has seen better days for sure - most of the facilities are dated but still functional. The items in-room are ok but can be improved. Some room controls and provisions were not explained thoroughly upon check-in.

Good value hotel with helpful staff

The staff was very accommodating and helpful. They helped us call for taxi going to JR Tennoji Station on the way back to the airport and also allowed us to leave our luggage safely at the hotel upon check out while we visited Osaka Castle. The hotel is within walking distance of Osaka Castle. It is also located near the Tanimachi 4-chome subway station with the Tanimachi and Chuo Lines on the Osaka Metro. The hotel is good value for the price we paid.

The stairs from the subway station to the exit near hotel were a bit steep. When going to Namba (Dotonbori), we needed to transfer either at Hommachi Station or Tanimachi 9-chome Station which took time and a bit of a walk. The hotel is also a bit old.

The place is like a capsule for family of 3. but it will fit ur need of place to take a shower and sleep and close to os

It’s close to osaka castle and 7/11 as well as lawson and lots of eateries. The subways as well is not as far (japan standard wise not as far).

the room will fit just the bed and a little space to move around so make sure to get ready with that. we also got a 2 year old with us with a stroller so it takes space which it barely have.

it was clean and elegant, the breakfast (only the part of fruits, eggs and bread was delicious), the people who works there, were so kind and nice always.

the breakfast is not continental at all (american style) they only have bread and fruit, everything else is japanese style, so that gave very few options for eating, they didn’t have cereal for example, something basic.

Comfortable enough

Location close to the Osaka castle and a train station (but you'd always need to transfer if you want to get to Shinsaibashi). Wifi ok. The room I had (3 adults family room) was HUGE.

The microwave in the shared space is hella dirtyyy. Had a bit of a mistake with the rooms (I had multiple bookings) and took a couple of times to handle it. The first time was also my mistake and the receptionist was very friendly in dealing with it. The second time, no one in the reception looked happy to talk to me, just wanted my credit card lol ok.

Adequate for a few days stay but tired in look and feel.

The location was close to a subway station and accessible to numerous restaurants including the great Greenberry cafe which did excellent coffee. The space was adequate for three people, considering that we had three large bags.

Although we were in what was supposed to be a non smoking room there was a distinct smell of cigarettes permeating the room for the three days we were there - it was noticeable as soon as you opened the door and led to us having to open windows whenever we were in the room which let in substantial traffic noise. The room felt tired, as if it hadn't had any cosmetic work done to it for a few decades.
